Work on an idea together
Teams is a planned Buteo feature that lets you invite the people you build with into an idea, each with a role, so the evidence is read and the decision made together. It is not built yet.

Your idea
- The verdict, the claims and every finding with its source
- The tests you ran and what came back
- The build plan written from it

The same idea, opened by your team
- They read
- The idea, the evidence and the verdict you already have
- They can do
- What the role you give them allows, and nothing past it
- Stays yours
- Who is in, and the Continue, Pivot or Kill call.
How it will work
Start from an idea
One idea, with its validation, its tests and its plan in one place.
Invite who you build with
From the idea's settings, where members will live. Nothing there can be switched on today.
Read it and decide together
Everyone looks at the same evidence. The decision is still made by a person, not by Buteo.
What will Teams do?
Every idea in Buteo keeps its own pages: its validation, the tests you ran, the build plan written from it. Today one person opens them, the one who started it. Teams is the plan to let that person bring in the people they build with.
A member would open the same idea and read the same evidence, with a role that says what they can do there. Nobody is handed a summary of somebody else's reading: the findings and the pages they cite are what everyone looks at.
Why share the idea, and not a report?
Because a verdict is only worth as much as the evidence under it, and a co-founder who cannot open a source has to take the verdict on trust. A shared idea lets the person who knows the customer check the customer evidence, and the person who will build it check what the plan assumes.
What can you do today?
Run the validation yourself, and walk someone through it on your own screen. You can also list an idea on Discover, which publishes its description, the recommendation and what you decided, and never the evidence behind it.
Your first validation is free, and the method behind it is public.
What is not decided yet?
- When it ships. There is no date, and we would rather give none than miss one.
- What it costs. Buteo runs on credits. Whether a team shares a balance is not set.
- Which roles there are. And what each may do: who can answer a run's questions, report a test, or start another pass.
What will not change is the rule the rest of Buteo keeps: the Continue, Pivot or Kill call is made by a person. If there is something you would want from this, tell us.
